Yarennoka! New Years Eve Slugfest in Japan

M-1 Global and the former Pride FC staff will be putting on a New Years Eve event at the Saitama Superarena in Japan title "Yarennoka". This will surely be Japan's biggest event of the year. Thus far there are four fights that have been confirmed (see below), also scheduled to be on this star-studded fight card are the Russian heavyweight phenom Fedor Emelianenko, Brazil's Ricardo Arona, Joachim Hansen and more. NEWS - UFC Frank Mir vs. Tim Silvia a no go?

The UFC has been told that a Frank Mir vs. Tim Silvia rematch would not be sanctioned by Keith Kizer of the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Apparently they feel that it would be too one sided of a fight against Mir, despite the fact that Mir had won the first fight between the two quickly via submission. While this news has just gotten out, the UFC had apparently been told this awhile back, before they signed the Frank Mir vs. Brock Lesnar fight. If Mir has a good showing against Lesnar in February, the commission might change their mind on the situation.

K-1 World Grand Prix 2007 Final

FieLDS K-1 World Grand Prix 2007 Final will be taking place December 8th at the Yokohama Arena in Kanagawa, Japan. There will be twelve great fights on the night, featuring the likes of Siala Siliga (Mighty Mo), Korea's giant Hong Man Choi, Semmy Schilt, Jerome LeBanner, among others. A super-fight is scheduled with Musashi vs. David Dancrade which should prove to be a real slugfest. See below for a complete fight card.
